about

ATTENTION HUMANS…
While most of you mortals must surely be aware of the 5 albums SERAPHIM SYSTEM output so far on DWA prior to the latest “Xibalba” coming out on Cleopatra, have even the woke among you heard of the legendary “lost” album “Obsidian Frontline”?

Originally recorded at the tail-end of 2018, “Obsidian Frontline” was delivered to DWA, mastered by Kolja Trelle (SOMAN) at Koltron Music Production, artwork formatted and CDs ready to go into production when suddenly word came in of Cleopatra’s interest.

As a result the entire project was put into cryostasis while “Xibalba” was recorded and released - but with that album now out in the wild, SYSTEMS REENGAGED. Without further delay, we present to you this 10-track concept album of the darkest, dankest industrial powernoise imaginable…

From the dancefloor-friendly “Deadly Force” through the hip-hop heavy “Automaton Assisted Annihilation” to the industrial-metal of “Luciferium” and “Pandaemonium”, SERAPHIM SYSTEM can rightly be described as an artist that never stands still. Or perhaps more appropriately a relentless machine that never stops running and producing music - a phenomenon of which “Obsidian Frontline” is simply the latest example.

Dropping digitally this 4th of July, “Obsidian Frontline” will also be available from that date as a strictly limited CD edition in 4-panel gatefold digipak. And if the allure of that physical edition alone doesn’t do it for you, for that first edition of 100 copies we’ve added the 8-track mini-album “Kelevra” (never previously available on CD before) as bonus tracks…adding up to an ominous 66.6 minutes of infernal audio…
